About Us
Socorro Public Library is proud to be an integral part of the Socorro community. It is the mission of the Socorro Public Library to meet the educational, cultural, and recreational needs of local residents. Our staff provides services and programs for area youth and adults which encourage reading, learning and literacy including: weekly pre-school story times; weekly "Books 'n More" programs for children 7 and older, monthly Makerspace events, the "Reading is Fundamental" program, which distributes books to Socorro children in Pre-K through third grade; and our Summer Reading Program. We also provide wireless access to the internet, fifteen public computer work stations, and access to a wide variety of resources through the reference desk. We do our best to provide our patrons with modern library materials in a variety of formats.
